Case Studies
We have successfully delivered on hundreds of briefs, each one presenting a unique set of challenges and demanding a tailored approach. Read about some of the assignments we’ve completed here:
Twenty Essex – Finance Director
Twenty Essex are a UK leading commercial set of chambers based in central London.
They offer outstanding legal minds combined with a modern and commercial disputes experience. Their clients include major global companies, institutions and governments from around the world.
Due to an internal restructure, they were seeking to hire an experienced Finance Director that would also have operational oversight.
This was predominately a strategic and presentational role, which reported into the CEO.
As this was a newly created vacancy, we initially provided the Chambers with an experienced contractor to assess its validity. After a 9-month period, the position was redefined, and a permanent incumbent was sourced.
We mapped out the sector, listing all London and Home Counties based legal chambers and law firms of a certain turnover and headcount. We then went through each one individually to find the relevant Heads of Finance. Utilising technology, we were able to harvest contact information and promptly approach potential candidates.
We collated our shortlist, conducted initial interviews and within two weeks were able to provide six candidates, all from competing chambers or reputable law firms. Client interviews were swift, and a new appointment was made.

Integrella – Finance Director
Integrella are a privately owned SME digital software consultancy based in the UK. The business was experiencing rapid expansion. The CEO was seeking a Finance Director on a permanent basis.
A professionally qualified individual with experience of managing finance in a company that sells services on a time-and-materials basis was required. They needed to be ambitious, with a “can-do” attitude, unphased by a role with a broad remit.
Experience with outsourcing and international expansion was required.
This search was two pronged. Our extensive network ensured several potential candidates were identified and contacted promptly about the role, many of which were not actively looking for work but always open to hearing about relevant opportunities. We then built a list of all Finance Directors and Head of Finance working in similar size technology companies in a set radius, established their contact details and presented the opportunity.
Despite the two-week shortlist submission agreement, we were able to forward six highly compatible CV’s within half of the time allotted.
The interview process involved three stages, an initial introduction, a technical assessment and then a presentation to the senior management team. Within four weeks of taking the brief, an appointment was made.
Albion Community Power – Finance Director
Cameron Pink were engaged by this VC backed Engineering and Construction company who were set to go through exponential growth, with turnover quadrupling to one hundred million within twelve months.
They Board of Directors required a Head of Finance to ensure robust financial processes and supervise a small team as the company began to scale.
We were tasked with sourcing a high calibre ACA qualified professional, who had spent five to ten years in industry working for a similar type of organisation.
Utilising technology we extracted a list of companies that had grown rapidly in headcount and/or turnover in the last 5-10 years. From those businesses we then singled out relevant points of contact, assessed their accountancy practice origins and contacted those individuals about the opportunity.
The role was placed within four weeks of taking the brief. However, it wasn’t without its challenges - going to offer stage with the first candidate declining for reasons outside of our control. Driven to ensure client satisfaction and deliver on our promises we promptly sourced a second candidate who accepted and remains in post today.
