My client is a fast-growing, privately-owned technology firm. They help medium to large businesses to “go digital” by creating new digital experiences and efficiencies that allow them to grow their business, cut costs or improve customer and employee satisfaction.  They are experts at “digital integration” which involves leveraging existing IT investments and what is often called the hardest part of going digital. In addition to this, the company has also expanded its capabilities beyond integration and now provides a complete set of offerings encompassing application development, cloud and data science.

The company are seeking a Business Development Executive to win new business across all the sectors but with an emphasis on developing Healthcare and the NHS clients.

The role will pay up to £65,000 basic with the opportunity to earn uncapped commission with an estimated take home pay of circa £80-90,000 per annum. It comes with the ability to work on a remote basis if desired, however, ideally you will be available to attend their London head office a day a week. The successfully appointed individual will be joining an ambitious company, with exceptionally high staff retention figures and an established, welcoming senior management team.


  • Identify new leads that can be developed into prospects
  • Generate sales using proactive techniques and leveraging existing contacts
  • Understand specific sector challenges and targeting with solutions designed to relieve their current pain
  • Develop a compelling offering of company services in the form of proposals/RFP’s
  • Feed into the sales strategy, working closely with the Sales Director
  • Maintain a sales pipeline and data in Salesforce CRM
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences and follow up with prospects
  • Report business development metrics on a weekly basis
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to suggest and discuss targeted campaigns
  • Develop account plans where necessary for specific opportunities to map out organisation structure, identify stakeholders
  • Identify gaps in the market where the company could provide solutions to and areas where it could expand into
  • Build the company’s event meet up community

To be considered you will be:

  • Experience in B2B tech sales; a background in IT consulting sales would be highly advantageous, particularly if this involved Digital Transformation/Application Development.
  • Sold into the Healthcare / NHS and understand their frameworks
  • Ideally selling solutions worth circa 50k-1m in TCV
  • Strong communication skills and tenacity are essential
  • Ability to outbound call warm prospects and C-suite executives
  • A self-starter who has the ability to be self-disciplined and target focus
  • Works well under pressure and is goal oriented.
  • Can accurately forecast sales.
