My client is a fast-growing, privately-owned technology firm. They help medium to large businesses to “go digital” by creating new digital experiences and efficiencies that allow them to grow their business, cut costs or improve customer and employee satisfaction.  They are experts at “digital integration” which involves leveraging existing IT investments and what is often called the hardest part of going digital. In addition to this, the company has also expanded its capabilities beyond integration and now provides a complete set of offerings encompassing application development, cloud and data science.

The CEO is seeking an Account Executive to win new business for their Application Development service. Working across all sectors but typically software, legal and financial, the company are winning contracts in excess of 1 million. The successful applicant will be the first sole resource to this particular sale, and hence, the company are open on salary depending on what the market dictates. The role comes with the ability to work on a remote basis if desired, ideally attending their London head office a day a week. The business has exceptionally high staff retention figures and an established, ambitious, senior management team.


  • Identify new leads that can be developed into prospects
  • Generate sales using proactive techniques and leveraging existing contacts
  • Understand client challenges and targeting with solutions designed to relieve their current pain
  • Develop compelling proposals / offering of company services
  • Feed into the sales strategy, working closely with the Sales Director
  • Maintain a sales pipeline and data in Salesforce CRM
  • Attend trade shows and conferences and follow up with prospects
  • Report business development metrics on a weekly basis
  • Work closely with marketing to suggest and discuss targeted campaigns
  • Develop account plans where necessary for specific opportunities to map out organisation structure, identify stakeholders
  • Identify gaps in the market where the company could provide solutions to and areas where it could expand
  • Build the company’s event meet up community

To be considered you will:

  • Be experienced in selling IT consulting services for application development
  • Selling into scale up technology firms and/or enterprise, typically highly regulated clients
  • Selling sizable solutions worth circa 50k-1.5m in TCV
  • Have strong communication skills and tenacity
  • Be comfortable calling prospects including C-suite executives
  • Be a self-starter who is self-disciplined and target focused
  • Work well under pressure and be goal oriented
  • Have experience accurately forecasting sales
