Its estimated 65% of growth companies fail due to people problems. Wrong hires, people in the wrong roles, a lousy culture. The national batting average of hires who meet or beat the hiring managers expectations two years after being hired is 50%. No more accurate than flipping a coin! A number of business problems are recruiting problems in disguise – we believe recruitment is never a cost but the greatest investment a business can make – and by following a strict process we believe we can move that industry statistic to nearer 80-90%.
James Emanuel is a Business graduate from Plymouth University who underwent training at one of the UK’s most recognisable recruitment firms, which laid the foundations for his career within the industry. Following five years of running an interim division, sourcing transactional and part qualified accountancy staff, he joined a niche recruitment firm that offered the opportunity to work on qualified and executive finance vacancies. Reporting into Director level, James went on to manage a team and ensure his London office was the highest performing in the country.
In 2015 James established Cameron Pink, a specialist UK wide recruiter where he supports both long-standing and new clients and their boards in navigating the complex ever-changing recruitment sector. Through tenure of service, he has deep-seated exposure specifically in recruiting senior finance and executive roles for SMEs, with a particular focus on PE/VC backed businesses.
Alongside recruitment, James owns a modest property development and rental business and on weekends he will either be run ragged by his twin girls, or, should the opportunity arise, down at Craven Cottage watching Fulham!
Our process involves focusing on the talent, skills, and experience of an individual as a key indicator of the present and future value that they will bring to any organization.
